What this site collects, what it doesn’t, and how advertising cookies work here.
The short version
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. We never send, store, or log the amounts you type in. Your browser does the math, and it disappears the moment you close the tab. This site does use third-party advertising. It may also use analytics. We explain both below.
Information we collect
You don’t need an account to use this site. The calculators themselves don’t collect or transmit the numbers you enter. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical details for security and performance. This includes things like your IP address, browser type, and which pages you visit. We use this for standard server logging. We don’t use it to identify you personally.
Cookies and advertising
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads through Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
If we use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, they may collect anonymized usage data. This includes which pages you visit and how long you stay. We use this data in aggregate to understand and improve the site. We don’t use it to identify you personally.
Third-party links
Some pages link to external resources. For example, we link to official tax authority pages — HMRC, the ATO, the CRA, or state Departments of Revenue — so you can verify current rates. We aren’t responsible for the privacy practices of sites you visit from here.
Children’s privacy
This site isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over any personal data we hold about you. This can include the right to request what we have, ask us to delete it, or opt out of certain processing. We don’t run user accounts, and our calculators don’t collect personal data. So there’s very little tied to your visit beyond advertising cookies and standard server logs.
